Pew’s Web Development and Enterprise Support department is a high energy, service-oriented department that ensures that Pew’s staff has access to leading edge tools to pursue their work. It is a highly entrepreneurial group that operates at the convergence of Pew’s enterprise systems, Web applications and social media strategy. The department’s Web Development group works closely with Pew’s program and operations leadership to identify and develop the Web presence and tools, social media strategies, and software applications required for Pew to meet its social mission. In collaboration with Pew’s Information Technology department (IT), the Enterprise Support unit provides the front line functional support for Pew’s Oracle and Salesforce.com environments; it also advances Pew’s larger knowledge-sharing agenda by developing custom reports and business intelligence solutions and by training and empowering Pew’s end users on its enterprise systems.
Position Overview
The Pew Charitable Trusts is seeking a senior specialist, Enterprise Support who will serve as an in-house expert to support current and future projects, post-production support, and ongoing maintenance. The senior specialist will serve as a user community liaison to provide upper tier support and lead the resolution of functional issues. The senior specialist will also perform problem identification and on-the-spot training, further escalate problems to appropriate support such as technical experts, and facilitates knowledge transfer. The senior specialist will also maintains history reports, identify and addresses reoccurring problems, assist in the development and execution of PeopleSoft business processes and best practices across the organization, and provide training as needed for power users. This position reports to the senior manager, Enterprise Support.
Requirements
A minimum of five years of relevant, professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, MIS, IT or related field.
Proven experience providing support for the PeopleSoft 9.1 Project Costing module.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Receivables, Billing, and General Ledger modules.
Demonstrated ability to successfully complete projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to develop/revise process documentation.
Ability develop test strategies for modifications, upgrades and new business processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
Proven history of exceptional customer service.
Advanced level communications and organizational skills.
Knowledge of PeopleTools.
Travel
Occasional travel required between Pew’s Philadelphia and Washington, DC offices, as well as occasional travel to attend trainings, seminars or conferences.
