Accounts Payable Jobs description
Accounts Payable Job OpeningsAccounts payable specialist, accounts payable associate, accountant, accounts receivable assistant, accounts payable clerk are the most common positions in accounting departments of commercial, government, or not-for-profit firms. Duties of an accounts payable employee include receiving and verifying invoices, coding or verifying correct coding of invoices, entering invoices for payments, and maintaining vendor files.
Applicants may have a bachelor's degree preferably in accounting. A CPA or relevant accounting certification is always an advantage. Familiarity with Quickbooks may be a prerequisite in some organizations, while knowledge of accounts receivables may be necessary in some. Excellent eye-to-detail is a key trait for accounts payable positions.
