Corporate Accountant Jobs

Any company that completes any business transaction must keep an account of all of the financial activities and financial resources of the organization and submit reports in this regard to specific authorities periodically or when requested. The typical duties of a corporate accountant include month-end reporting, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation, financial analysis, and forecasting and comparisons; analysis of budgeted and actual spending, real estate accounting, physical inventory, and product costing; performing research in response management inquiries; analyzing financial information as part of the financial reporting process; and performing other general accounting and analytical duties as requested by the accounting manager.
Some organizations provide accountants with administrative help from an accounting assistant or an accounting intern. A corporate accountant may also be referred to as a management accountant, an accounting associate, a bookkeeper, or an accounting clerk.
A corporate accountant position may be available with any organization, regardless of its size and location. Smaller firms may seek help from freelancers in this regard. The minimum educational qualification to obtain a corporate accountant position is a BS in Accounting. Having a chartered accountant qualification may also help you get the job you desire. The ability to use Microsoft Excel and familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are musts.
