Accounting Clerk
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for be responsible for assisting with the compiling, processing and maintaining accounts payable records, processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
Ability to assist in managing multiple third-party relationships
Enter vendor bids into our accounting system.
Match up invoices with approved bids to ensure pricing is correct.
Develop professional relationships with vendors.
Answer vendor inquiries and resolve any reconciliation issues.
Ensure vendors and service providers are properly set up on processing platforms, including obtaining W-9, Tax EINs, remittance details, and other related information.
Work closely with the Development team to ensure expenses and bids are accounted for.
Put together construction draws.
Effectively communicate between the Development and Accounting team on a daily basis.
Assist the Development and Asset Management team with ad-hoc projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Accounting, Business, or Finance
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounts Payable / Accounting Experience
Experience in the Construction Industry or Real Estate Development
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
Ability to assist in managing multiple third-party relationships
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
Strong verbal and written skills; ability to analyze and summarize complex information both verbally and in writing
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task and manage various deadlines
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with any large ERP software (Yardi, Timberline)
Time management
