Cobb - Accounting Manager

Summary:

The expectation of this position is to perform the consolidation for Cobb entities world-wide and provide support for all Cobb Business Units. Essential functions of this position are: provide accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for worldwide operations; provide accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requests; provide financial reporting support and guidance to local BU Finance & Accounting teams; maintain relevant lease data for the North America BU; reconcile intercompany accounts; review sales tax calculations and exemption forms; maintain effective accounting controls and processes. This position will also routinely provide technical accounting guidance in various areas such as: contracts, revenue recognition, leases, impairment analysis, and overall application of new and existing accounting standards. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or in an academic related field preferred.

Experience: Five (5) plus years accounting related experience. Public accounting or corporate consolidations experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Requires strong computer skills; must have working ability with Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word and Outlook; ability to perform technical research using various research tools; working knowledge of typical general ledger and accounting software packages preferred; SAP experience is highly preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Special Skills: CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Excellent technical accounting knowledge and ability to research complex GAAP accounting standards and document conclusions. Strong team-oriented skills as well as a high level of self-motivation in working independently. Ability to work with a diverse group of people across various levels, functions, and locations.

Travel: Some international travel may be required for this position.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites/bio secure environments, showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.

Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

During the current Pandemic (2020), all Team Members will be required to wear company issued facial coverings. Training will be provided to each Team Member specific to their job and their facility location in addition to signing an acknowledgement form they understand these expectations.

It is considered an essential function of each job for a Team Member to wear the company issued facial coverings. If a Team Member indicates they will not wear the mask, they will not be considered for the position in which they are applying or any position that requires the facial covering. If a Team Member has a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing the mask, Cobb will engage in an interactive process to determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be provided that addresses the safety concerns associated with the Pandemic and allow the Team Member to perform the essential functions of the job.
