Position Summary

The SAP Finance Operation Lead is critical to Under Armour’s future state and will have global influence. The SAP Operations Leader is a member of Corporate & Teammate Application Tower within Global Technology and reports to the Finance Technology Solutions Leaders. You will be the default SAP point of contact to work directly with business and technology teams to support the finance operations, technical requests, projects, and data integration efforts. This role provides the opportunity to support Corporate Accounting & Finance's understanding of the viable uses of SAP Finance as a scalable digital technology option. In addition, the position is accountable to assist in defining, designing, governing, and delivering solutions that optimize Corporate Finance & Accounting Finance processes. Investigate, identify, and implement technology that drives productivity and efficiency gains in own function and throughout multiple business areas. This position is accountable for partnering with business stakeholders and technology to deliver specifications to the managed services RTR team to drive effective issue management that leads to successful business outcomes.

Being a critical member of the Finance Technology Solutions team requires bringing your SAP operational leadership to the team in the design integration of highly scalable finance optimization technologies. This Leader owns incorporating the new and scaled technology into Corporate & Teammate Application’s enterprise operations model. These actions will allow Corporate Finance & Accounting the ability to achieve their digital vision and enterprise priorities to lower operating costs and increase efficiency through the power of technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage SAP FI (Financial Accounting, especially Fixed Assets), SAP CO (Controlling), SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management) and Simple Finance configuration support to include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Credit Management, Dispute Management, and Tax.

Own and execution SAP FI/CO/FSCM operational duties for Corporate Accounting & Finance such as sales audit, CAR, fixed asset troubleshooting, article ledger closing, standard cost build, foreign exchange remeasurement, rolling forward fixed assets, and retained earnings, credit build, dispute case.

Explore, develop, and implement recommendations to improve the process efficiency of SAP Finance modules.

Identify failures or inefficiencies in finance operational processes, address with cross-functional technology, business, and third parties, and implement

Bring a strong SAP user community through end-user training, support, and knowledge sharing to keep solutions aligned with the business.

Influence key stakeholders through compelling communication to understand the value of finance optimization technologies.

Manage process improvements, business model, operational, integration, or scale existing technology projects to support the implementation of new finance optimization technologies that may include ERP & Planning Systems, Cloud-based Solutions, Blockchain, Robotics Automation, and Artificial Intelligence.

Lead business process mining and master data redesign to ensure the alignment with SAP Finance best practices and a better teammate experience.

Collaborate with the Finance Technology Solutions Leader and stakeholders to advance the Finance Technology COE for innovation.

Drive the interpretation of technical configurations and development into people, process, and system impacts to operationalize newly implemented digital technologies.

Lead operational risk and issue mitigation activities through resolution, and achieved within the agreed-upon budget and timeline.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Ability to synthesis data into actionable technology strategy to address business and teammate experiential issues.

Understand and apply design thinking to technology solution creation.

Strong consultative, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving aptitude.

Ability to influence and inspire a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization.

Solid Corporate Accounting & Finance business acumen

Experience working in fast-paced, technology product-focused organizations and business units

Bring an innovative and collaborative mindset.

Hands-on experience building or improving Finance & Accounting centers of excellence specific to business process or technical operations

Education And / Or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in either Management Information Systems, Accounting or Finance

7-10 years Analyst experience in Corporate Accounting & Finance technology and Operations experience

7 years of experience in SAP FI/CO/FSCM and Simple Finance

Experience in Blackline, Vertex, Reval, High-Radius, ARIBA Purchasing and SLP, CAR will be plus

5 years executing SAP module configurations in a Retail environment

3 years leading large-scale complex technical transformative and integrations

Other Requirements

Location: strong preference for this individual to reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD.

Return To Work Designation: 1-2 days per week in office, remainder remote

Travel: IE 5-10% of the year

Licenses/Certifications: ITIL certifications are a plus
