Sr Analyst Accounting

Profile

Summary: This position maintains the integrity of formulations and standard costs in mainframe systems SAP. Provides accurate and detailed cost estimates in support of marketing initiatives as well and contribution to cost savings projects budget planning and financial analysis for weekly performance estimates and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains existing cost accounting system. Ensure accuracy of cost of production including meat ingredient packaging labor and overhead components. Analyzes and reports cost of production through weekly and monthly manufacturing variance to standards. Develops and maintains strong working knowledge of production processes which includes regular observation and interaction on the production floor. Will aid in implementation and cutover to new SAP S4 Hana platform from current SAP system. Supports lean manufacturing activities to drive cost saving initiatives. Works with support departments to properly record disposal of obsolete materials. Maintains and develops business relationships with maintenance operations engineering and materials management. Provides credible accurate thorough and depth of financial analysis in support of plant operations. Supports other finance functionality including asset inventory control and spending audit. Provides labor analysis. Management of up to 3 direct reports possible. Responsible for the assisting in the month end close process.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required preferably in accounting business meat science or related field. Five years manufacturing experience preferred. Key insights into cost savings initiatives. Independent judgement with analytical skills. Problem solving resourcefulness demonstration of business acumen creative thinking skills required. Strong knowledge of Excel. Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills. Demonstration of Tysons core values-caring commitment candor collaboration and creativity.
