Role Summary/Purpose

The Executive Cash Flow Planning & Analysis Leader is responsible for overseeing GE’s total company forecasting, planning, analysis and reporting of cash flow, serving as a key link across the Financial Reporting, Investor Relations and business FP&A teams.

This role will also support the strategic design and deployment of company-wide FP&A priorities that are designed to drive increased transparency of financial statements, on a more frequent basis, to enable the function to move beyond transactional processing and reporting to insights and actions.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide senior GE leadership with meaningful insights and data for use in understanding GE’s actual and projected cash flow.

Lead initiatives with business FP&A and cash leaders designed to improve global forecasting accuracy of cash flow.

Establish targets and relevant KPI metrics to monitor and measure short and long-term progress of each business unit’s cash generation.

Coordinate with Corporate Treasury on both short and long-term liquidity planning covering all sources & uses of cash including operating, investing, and financing cash flows.

Analyze, prepare, and present both detailed and summarized view of cash results and projected future cash flow in both standard and ad-hoc packages.

Lead cross-business discussions with segment cash leaders to understand detailed drivers of cash flow vs. plan, prior year, prior quarter and other periods as needed.

Coordinate with the Financial Reporting team to ensure accurate summation of results in external SEC reporting.

Assist with investor related queries on GE’s cash flow, including preparation of quarterly Q&A & CFO script editing as necessary.

Prepare summary level Board presentations throughout the year related to GE’s cash performance.

Enhance total company analytics related to working capital, contract assets, and other operating cash flow.

Lead a team of cash analysts that collectively oversee a total company framework for planning, forecasting and analyzing GE’s cash flow through the use of critical metrics, detailed analysis, proactive analytics, and the use of expert judgment.

Partner with the broader Corporate FP&A team in understanding total company financial performance for GE.

Leverage technology and tools to drive efficiency in how the Corporate FP&A team as well as business FP&A teams operate.

Understand the elements that drive the results of each business, which can be applied to analyzing quarterly and annual results as well as planning cycles.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 10 years of finance experience. Financial modeling skills. Leadership experience with senior management interaction. Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating at all levels, including with Senior Management. Proven project management and coordination skills. Experience managing direct reports. Proficient use of financial systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle) and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Characteristics

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. Master's degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification desired. Advanced financial analytics/modeling skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. Leadership experience and ability to motivate teams and work across all functions. Self-starter/team player. Experience with business process redesign and/or LEAN. Strong oral and written communication skills
