We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Director of Data Analytics (DA).  This role reports directly to the Chief Audit Executive, has responsibility to manage a team of colleagues and is a member of the global Audit Leadership Team.  It will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of Internal Audit’s global DA strategy, as well as partnering closely with Aon’s Global Risk Office and other risk functions to support the broader firm’s global Enterprise Risk Management capabilities.  As an independent, objective source of assurance and advisory services, this role adds value by bringing a systematic, disciplined and balanced approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, control and governance processes.  Duties and Responsibilities            Develop and execute an innovative global DA strategy for Internal Audit, building on a strong existing programPartner with the Global Risk Office and other risk functions across Aon to identify where control activities can be advanced through the use of cloud based and advanced analytics technologies and act in an advisory capacity to support implementation Lead innovation initiatives applying best practices and emerging technology trendsDevelop tools to apply advanced analytics technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence and statistical analysis to support audit executionOperate as a thought leader and champion of the Internal Audit vision and strategy by actively collaborating and engaging both within the IA department and with functional and business partners Set a high standard and clear expectations for a team of 6 colleagues; challenge, encourage, motivate, and inspire them to maximize their potential to achieve individual and department objectivesKey AttributesStrong Technical Skills: Deep experience with data transformation, data science, data wrangling and cloud architecture, descriptive and predictive analytics, predictive modeling, and advanced BI dashboards and risk models.  Exposure to the application of robotic process automation and natural language processing in a risk and controls environment. Exceptional People Leadership: Talent cultivator with passion for identifying talent and developing and growing others. Energetic and engaged coach who helps teams to “up their game” and perform at the highest levels; Delivers feedback with courage and candor.
