The tax accountant's roles and responsibilities will include exposure to tax accounting and compliance. From a tax accounting perspective, the tax accountant will become knowledgeable of the components and calculations of the effective tax rate and deferred taxes pursuant to ASC 740 and IAS12. From a tax compliance perspective, the tax accountant will become familiar with the federal, state and local corporate tax filings for the Company.   

Job Responsibilities

●         Support the month-end close process by booking tax accruals, performing fluctuation analyses on account balances, and preparing key account reconciliations;

●         Analyze new transactions to determine potential book-tax differences and other related tax accounting treatment;

●         Monitor new Accounting policies and pronouncements to determine proper tax treatment of such new emerging issues;

●         Prepare working papers and supporting documentation required for federal and state taxes for the Company and its subsidiaries;

●         Support the timely filing of tax returns (Sales and Use, Income Tax, etc.); ●         Coordinate tax payments to various governmental entities;

●         Document and help develop processes and assist with projects to improve performance and efficiencies;

●         Assist in tax audits and research;  

Qualifications ●         Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

●         Master Degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred

●         1-3 years of related work experience

●         Detail-oriented

●         Strong communication skills

●         Ability to organize and manage varying tasks

●         Ability to work autonomously
