Accounting Clerk Jobs description
An accounting clerk job is one of the most preferred entry-level positions for an accounting career. Typical duties include payroll work, data-entry, filing tax returns, and bookkeeping. Preparation of accurate general ledger and basic financial reports, analyzing balance sheets, performing other administrative duties in the area of accounting, and taking care of accounts payable and accounts receivable reports, may also form part of the responsibilities.Accounting clerk jobs generally require a high school diploma or an associate's degree. Several years of experience as an accounting clerk, accounting assistant, administrative assistant-accounting, or the like, may lead you to senior accounting positions. Experience working in Tally or PeopleSoft environment may be considered as an advantage. Ability to use computer and operate MS Word or Excel is essential.
