Furthermore, Robert Half’s Salary Guide reports that due to business growth and economic demands, many companies want to employ additional accounting staff in various departments.

According to the Salary Guide, though many employers look for veteran accountants when it comes to filling critical positions, they are quite willing to hire amateurs and entry-level accounting grads and train them. The National Association of Colleges and Employers even states that nearly 58% of companies worldwide are trying to keep up with demand by recruiting accounting graduates with little or no experience.

''Industries such as retail, real estate, and manufacturing have faced the maximum job cuts in this economic downturn.
