The Senior Accounting Analyst will be integral in supporting the accounting operations for an exceptionally fast-growing company. Primary responsibilities include financial statement preparation, maintaining records, analyzing data, creating reports for management, and assisting in company compliance practices. Specific Job Duties:
Perform key accounting functions including financial statement preparation, payroll administration, treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Assist in the development and continuance of monthly and annual budgets, variance reporting, and forecasts.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Coordinate the successful completion of financial statement audits and ensure timely completion of all state and federal tax returns.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure business needs are being met through reporting and analytics.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Research, as necessary, new and existing legislation in an effort to comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements; enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on needed actions
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar
3-5+ years of Accounting or relevant experience, CPA preferred
Law firm experience and/or understanding of Trust/IOLTA accounts is a major plus!
Self-starter and ability to work independently without formalized training and supervision
Excellent Excel skills including complex formulas and ability to manage data sets
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Accounting & Finance
Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, fast-paced environment
