Role Summary:

The primary focus of this role is supporting the Healthcare Digital Radiology product team with financial & management reporting, planning and forecasting, and program monitoring. In addition, this role will work with the Enterprise Imaging and Digital Platform & Solutions teams on specific programs analysis. Additional responsibilities include driving process improvement, increasing product and program visibility, and holding the product team accountable for delivering the Return on Investment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Support GE Healthcare Business planning cycles by providing data for critical planning cycles including world-wide product planning (3-year Plan), Session II (1-year Plan) and Operating Plan

Support GE Healthcare operating mechanisms, helping run the business with more accountability and visibility, and driving culture and results around profitability

Manage and participate in quarterly / yearly Accounting closing processes / YTD change reports (moves, adds, attrition)

Consolidate and prepare management reporting (consolidated and segment P&Ls) and communicate results to global team

Help Product Management driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics including product and program investment and returns

Provide necessary analytics to highlight key business performance drivers; Identifying risks and opportunities throughout the quarter and help develop processes to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities

Support R&D programs prioritization based on ROI, monitor execution, hold product team accountable through a tollgate process

Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information to drive productivity and profitability

Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or Numerate-based degree and 5 years financial work experience

Desired Characteristics:

Experience with financial systems/applications such as Peoplesoft, Oracle, Business Objects, Hyperion Essbase

Solid PC skills and strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel including pivot tables, sumif, data automation, etc.

Clear thinking/problem solving; successfully led cross functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas; able to quickly respond in high priority/high stress situations

Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change - Operational & FP&A Experience

Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

Proven communication and leadership skills

Demonstrated analytical, process and problem-solving skills

Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP

Business presence, initiative, ability to interact/influence senior management

Experience in a matrixed environment

Strong team player

Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)
