Senior Financial Analyst','MIR00000881','!*!Oversee all financials both reporting and tracking, as well as analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data and making recommendations.
Provide monthly g/l reconciliations, commentary, and inputs on Risks and Opportunities (R&O) to Finance Manager.
Track and reconcile monthly project related expenses.
Provide input with regards to support planning and budgeting process and participate in annual profit and loss (P&L) development.
Manage project forecasts such as burn rates for internal labor and third-party commitments.
Maintain open communication with IT, Trade Development, AP, and Accounting teams and make recommendations as well as assist with internal financial procedures.
Process invoices including but not limited to, obtaining approvals, coding, and matching with corresponding contracts.
Analyze financial impact of aged invoices and support the monthly process of reducing our exposure
Run month-end process and work with others in the organization to minimize the impact of project costs on the operational budget.
Assist Controller with monthly financial reconciliation and tracking spends and programming mix.
Conduct root-cause analysis to identify variances and implement corrective actions.
Conduct various analyses as needed such as spend proposals, financial accruals, structure changes, and programs return on investment (ROI).
Work alongside partners to ensure budget alignment and actuals reconciliation.
Assist with development of annual budgets, as well as support monthly and yearly financial closing activities.
Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the success of the department and function at Southern Wine & Spirits.','!*!EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
5 - 8 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
Knowledge using: SAP and reporting tools.
Knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within accounting and familiar with General Acceptable Accounting Practices (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge in Word and Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and V Lookup (a plus).
Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative analysis skills to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities.
Strong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills to process large numbers of invoices.
