Fast growing Irving Manufacturer’s Rep. firm of commercial HVAC products seeks strong Accounting Administrator. Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of correspondence with our sales force, and with customers & vendors. Accuracy a must. HVAC and job cost background a plus. Must demonstrate strong Excel and other Microsoft applications skills, and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, high growth environment.
Support Accounting Coordinators through various administrative responsibilities
Strict attention to accuracy and detail
Verification of proper approval for expenses
Answer phone calls and emails
Filing (paper and scanning)
Mailing invoices and checks
Accumulating invoices from the online AP email
Ability to communicate with customers/vendors and individuals in departments throughout the company
Other duties and special projects as needed
The Required Profile
AP/AR Work Experience Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates Degree a plus
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft GP 2010
Good Communication Skills and the Ability to Get along with others
Great Customer Service – External and Internal
HVAC Experience and job costing a plus
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
