Serves as a financial analyst for the clinics. Provides financial analysis, financial operations, budgeting/forecasting, decision support, productivity system support, financial modeling, and financial reporting.
Responsible for calculating, analyzing, and maintaining the Physician and Advanced Practice Provider compensation and productivity measures. Reports results to Director Clinic Operations for oversight and sign-off.
Assists with monitoring budget variances and prepares written and oral reports to executive management and board of directors.
Supports clinic department directors in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial budgets to provide information and resolve questions concerning variances from approved budget. Develops plans to remediate budget variances.

Effective recording, analysis, and reporting of financial data and departmental statistics
Computation, recording, analysis and recommendations for review of Physician and Advanced Practice Provider compensation and productivity while maintaining the strictest confidentiality
Participate in decisions regarding financial, capital expenditures, or other financial matters
Assist with preparation of budgets and review department reports for accuracy on an ongoing basis.
Compile and analyze both historical and forecast financial data and present reports to executive management and board of directors
Supports department directors with analysis of departmental and service line profit/loss reports and develop plans in response to areas in need of improvement
Establish and maintain decision support systems including reporting
Performs other financial projects as determined by executive management
Proficient at financial analysis and application of performance measures
Compile data for third party surveys that the organization participates in.
Provide supportive data and reporting to assist in Performance Excellence (PEX) initiatives.
Complete other duties as assigned and as needed to contribute to the overall functioning of the ambulatory clinics.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or similar field required.
One year financial management or accounting experience required, healthcare experience preferred.
Proficient in use of: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and personal computer skills
Financial reporting and analysis
Financial reporting software packages
Development and management of operating and capital budgets and/or decision support systems
Familiarity with productivity systems
Project/program financial analysis and proforma development
Excellent communication skills

The second oldest hospital in Kansas, Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center is the product of a merger between Christ's Hospital (founded in 1884) and the Jane C. Stormont Hospital and Training School for Nurses (1894). It has grown from a four-story hospital to a 586-bed acute care referral center for northeast Kansas.
