Trade Accounting Specialist','1900485','!*!The Commercial Trade Accounting Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating the audit process for trade and marketing expenses, processing payment requests in the Siebel sub-ledger and ensuring settlements comply with DPSG policy, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently. Another critical success factor will be the candidate’s ability to make decisions in a thoughtful, rational manner, and subsequently support the decision based on company policies.

Audit and ensure that trade and marketing expenses are reported correctly and in accordance with GAAP and Company Policies
Work directly with sales colleagues to obtain additional information and documentation or make corrections when necessary
Foster a mindset of effective sales team support while holding parties accountable for their work
Provide feedback and training on incorrect submissions
Complete correcting entries (void transactions, memos, etc.) when submissions fail required audit criteria
Prepare monthly documentation/reports to aid in the balancing and interfacing of sub-ledgers with the financial general ledger; identify and reconcile all transactions
Research and resolve payment and/or budget related requests
Prepare and support other initiatives as requested
Assist with implementing process and system improvements

Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Two years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Two years of experience with SAP or other related software (PeopleSoft, Oracle)
