Mobility Tax Senior Associate – Human Capital Services

advice.  In addition to tax professionals

in our offices across the United States, our Washington National Tax Office

provides deep technical knowledge and responsive support in local, state,

federal and international tax. Our tax services include: compliance, human

capital services, federal tax services, international tax services, state and

local tax services, private wealth services, tax reporting and advisory,

partnership taxation, not-for-profit tax, and mergers & acquisition tax



The Global Mobility Services Senior

Associate is involved with the delivery of a full range of global mobility

services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities

include interacting closely with clients to provide day-to-day international

assignment programs support, contribute to the advice provided to businesses

and individuals for tax and social security planning, payroll consulting, and

compliance expertise for a global workforce. 

The role will involve working directly with clients and internal team

members to provide high-quality services in the US and globally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ClientsWill work directly with clients to provide high quality global

mobility consulting and compliance servicesInvolved in managing day-to-day delivery for a portfolio of

clients, working closely with senior team membersWork collaboratively with Grant Thornton International Ltd member firms

to provide timely and holistic responses to technical queries for US and global

clients.Coordinate global tax compliance services for clients.Willing to be involved in projects across Human Capital Services

service areasWorks closely with Grant Thornton’s Bangalore Shared Services

Center (SSC) to manage compliance processes and deliverablesParticipate in US arrival and departure tax briefing meetingsTechnical ProficiencyAddress, research, and consult on technical issues specific to

employee payroll, compensation, benefits, and global mobility taxes and

prepare related written communications.Candidate

should have familiarity with individual income tax issues and tax law including

foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance.Works with colleagues to develop solutions to

complex technical issuesCandidate

should have familiarity with individual income tax issues and tax law including

foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance.Understands

and able to advise clients on international assignment and tax policies,

including equalization and protection processesConduct primary and secondary review of US individual tax

returns.PeopleFacilitate and participate in firm-wide training and

communications relating to global mobility matters.Proactively

manages own career, seeking out opportunities to work on a variety of

assignments to build on existing experienceOperationsLead on

compliance season initiation processes and manage e-filing requirementsProactively

manages personal utilization targetsManages

work to ensure recover targets can be met, raises issues where appropriateWorks

with Partner to raise invoices on a prompt basisUnderstands

their contribution to the team's profitabilityOther

duties as assigned.

','!*!Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum of three years’ experience in global mobility services.Licensed CPA or Attorney designation is required.Experience

with a Big 4, mid-tier firm or law firm.Superior

analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in

individual tax consulting and compliance. Experience with inbound and outbound

employee relocation consulting. Ability to effectively communicate cross border

tax concepts to clients who are not tax specialists.Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing,

fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and

technology.Preferred Skills and ExperienceAdvanced

degree or professional certification preferred.Additional InformationAbility
