The Accounts receivable representative supports the practice manager and physicians in fulfilling the mission of CCA and UPHS
This position is responsible for revenue collection related functions associated with professional accounts receivable resolution. Employee serves as in-house expert for professional billing questions. Position is responsible for charge follow up work queues and the settlement of outpatient accounting services
High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in healthcare customer service is preferred. Specific knowledge of third party billing and claims processing procedures preferred. Experience in the insurance/HMO industry or in an academic medical center highly preferred. General knowledge of insurance company/HMO procedures and the dynamics of health care systems. Experience with spreadsheet and word processing and software preferred.
Computer literacy required. Proven analytical and organizational ability as well as highly professional written and verbal communications skills. Proven ability to work with minimal supervision at a high level of productivity. Must have ability to work with scheduled deadlines and perform various duties. Must be flexible, articulate, and highly organized. Must have good command of the English language. Strong customer service skills/good interpersonal skills.
