Job Summary/Purpose

 

Responsible for financial business decisions of the CUBE including overseeing, managing, communicating, reporting and providing guidance regarding financial and regulatory strategies. Responsible for the efforts, results, and success of an organization's finance deliverables. Provides financial advice and support to help senior executives make key decisions

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

 

Manage financial performance for the CUBE

*Provide status of financial performance of the CUBE by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data across products *Manage CUBE budget efficiently, ensuring resources are used across products efficiently, considering business value add and return on investment *Ensure that the CUBE's financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth

Deliver compliance in the financial function of the CUBE

*Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures *Protect financial assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls *Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports *Arrange for financial audits and risk assessments as required and appropriate

Provide leadership across the CUBE

*Contribute fully to the development of strategy across all products, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers *Develop finance capability across product teams, ensuring rigor of financial analysis on product teams

Shared Accountabilities and collaborations

*Shares accountability for legal and compliance requirements with Entergy's Legal Team and CUBE VP *Collaborates with the Central Team to design annual operating plan for the CUBE *Collaborates with the Central Team to define and cultivate culture at the CUBE

Key Performance Indicators

*Deliver CUBE annual operating plan to budget *Deliver policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions as appropriate for CUBE *Comply with Entergy and external financial requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Minimum education required of the position

*Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent work experience) required *Graduate degree (MBA or Master's in Finance or Accounting) preferred

Minimum experience required of the position

*7+ years’ experience, with proven track record in financial analysis, financial control and financial leadership roles preferred

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

*Proficiency in PC Windows environment (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and financial modeling

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

*CFA or CPA preferred

Functional Knowledge

*Knowledge of GAAP, FERC and regulatory accounting guidelines and principles *Ability to work with budget systems and financial models

Business Expertise

*Extensive business domain and IT expertise *Some knowledge of Agile rules and practices, and some experience with working in an Agile organization

Leadership

*Interpersonal / leadership skills and ability to communicate externally and at all levels of the organization

Problem Solving

*High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation *Project management experience with ability to manage time to meet aggressive deadlines, appraise, monitor, audit and evaluate projects

Impact

*Must be self-motivated, have high integrity and credibility and be able to work independently *Must be flexible and have ability to interface with a diverse group of individuals and cross-functional teams

 

Interpersonal Skills

*Strong communication/senior stakeholder management skills *Experienced in working with executives and influencing across the organization
