DaVita Payroll Accounting Team seeking upbeat, analytical STAFF ACCOUNTANT I
Location: Federal Way, WA
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position provides accounting support for payroll related accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
% OF TIME
1.Perform general ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, on & off cycle payroll journal entries & account analysis : 60%
Review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare monthly reporting : 10%
Prepare and/or review communications, presentations, and Payroll Accounting process documentation. Provide Payroll Accounting information to teammates inside and outside of Finance : 10%
Prepare & analyze TM deductions including ESPP, stock options, & charitable contributions, & 401k : 5%
Review processes annually to ensure SOX compliance : 5%
6.Other duties as assigned : 10%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
0-2 years experience in similar accounting role required
Minimum education: Associate's Degree or related internship/apprenticeship required
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, required
Basic proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, required
Minimum of one year of related Payroll or Accounting experience, required
Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
Level III – Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.

Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.
