KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Engagement Controller to join our KPMG's Delivery Network for Advisory.
Ensure Member Firm EMCs understand and follow the KDN engagement management processes. Provide engagement management support to regional Delivery Enablement Leads (DELs) with opportunity, demand tracking in KDN Ops
Manage the contracting of opportunities with the KDN contracting teams including review of draft contract schedules, confirming scope of services, and pricing arrangements; coordinate the internal review and approval of draft member firm and delivery centre contracts, working with quality and risk management (QRM) and KDN leadership as needed
Ascertain that the correct information is provided to facilitate engagement setup in financial systems and ensure engagement is cleared from an internal process and approvals perspective to begin delivery of services; support the Delivery Centre Engagement Manager to ensure high quality time and expense data is provided to Central Finance team for invoicing
Perform analysis of invoices, confirming with the contract schedule if any special discounts need to be applied and coordination between the member firm and Central Finance team on invoice related questions; support multiple regional engagements simultaneously with the engagement administration, project, process support to enable successful delivery of services our member firms
Work with other EMC for standardization of process, improvement opportunities across KDN and learn from each other as the role evolves to cater to business needs; develop and maintain workflow and process documentation for engagement management processes in KDN Advisory
Coordinate with KDN QRM team for ad-hoc requests such as non-standard services, contract clauses, templates and other risk related questions from member firms; develop / implement metrics & tracking for measuring the engagement management life cycles; produce monthly reports to leadership on agreed metrics and leverage them to identify opportunities for improvement; identify and implement potential automation for contract expirations notifications, simplified intake, engagement acceptance steps integration, reporting dashboards
Minimum five years of recent experience working in project Accounting, Finance or Billing, preferably within a professional services environment
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial and accounting applications is required
Strong time management, planning, analytical and project skills; detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments and must be proactive in day-to-day interactions as well as in formulating solutions to problems
Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational and judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork with an ability to build productive relationships with peers and leaders
Candidate needs to be credible with stakeholders, able to engage and develop strong working relationships with them in a global matrixed environment
