Currently we are searching for a Tax Manager to fulfill an immediate vacancy. The Tax Manager will report to the Tax Director and be responsible for the following:
Prepare and submit timely US and Canadian corporate tax filings (federal, state and provincial).
Prepare the U.S. tax filings for foreign corporation (e.g. Form 5471s/5472s/1118s etc.) and foreign affiliate reports, including withholding, elections, and disclosures.
Prepare calculation of the estimated quarterly tax payments.
Prepare US, Canadian tax provisions (ASC 740), and related work papers at quarter and year-end and analyze tax position - oversee proper accounting of current and deferred taxes.
Reconcile tax returns to the financial statement provision.
Streamline the tax provision and tax compliance process.
Ensure that property documentation is prepared and continually monitor the controls.
Coordinate special projects (e.g., R&D credit study and annual transfer pricing study, etc.).
Oversee and monitor compliance in non-income tax areas (VAT, withholding taxes, others)
Assessment of tax risks - ASC 740-10(FIN 48)
Experience (10 years) in domestic and multi-state tax preparation and tax compliance and fixed assets. Public Accounting Experience Strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a preference for a Master’s degree in Taxation. CPA preferred but not required
Experience using OneSource tax provision and Income Tax software, SAGE Fixed Asset software's or large ERP software
Must be able to provide clear tax guidance, coach and align with mgmt/other functions/Corporate; strive for continuous improvements/drive innovations.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel is important. A general aptitude for web-based programs is also required.
Travel Requirement, Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
• No travel requirements
• General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
• Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
