Senior Financial Reporting Manager

Senior Financial Reporting Manager: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
Position will be responsible for coordinating all financial reporting to VF senior management across the group on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis including all actual results, forecasts, and strategic and operational plans. Ensure reporting is performed in a timely and accurate manner to achieve tight deadlines ensuring that all transactions and documentation complies with US GAAP. In addition, the role will coordinate, standardize, and consolidate all project and initiative tracking as well as to perform ad hoc analysis and special project work. Establish control-related standards and procedures. Position communicates across the organization requiring strong interpersonal communication skills.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Oversees the Delaware Finance Office that is responsible for the financial reporting process for trademark and holding companies. Ensure that information is timely and accurately reported. Delaware Finance Office consists of a Controller and three staff accountants.
Oversees the recording of transactions, management of communications, maintenance of documentation, oversight of global branch structure for the Greensboro Luxembourg branches
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for multiple business units.
Review and approve general ledger reconciliations across multiple business units.
Oversee the Inter-company settlement process related to domestic and foreign entities (specifically balances payable from a domestic to a foreign entity)
Manage entity realignment associated with acquisitions or other similar activity; participate in other tax and Financial Controller projects as requested
Manage SOX compliance for VF Services and VF Parent (including VSEC, GRC, and other tools). Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
Coordinate with the external auditors to provide requested information at least quarterly.
Oversee General Accounting functions (staff of 4 accounting professionals); provide recommendations for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions and assists in resolving day-to-day issues that arise. Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. Handle personnel issues related to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 10 years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
8 years experience in progressively responsible position within accounting or financial operations
2 years of experience directly managing accounting
Must be very detail oriented and organized with professional written and verbal communication
4 years college degree in accounting (CPA required)
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of computer software systems
Ability to interact with others in a corporate environment
Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

Ability to be flexible with extended work hours as necessary
