What You Will Do:
As part of Transamerica’s Account Reconciliations department you will be primarily responsible for the research and resolution of outstanding variances between general ledger suspense accounts, bank accounts, and the disbursement systems.
What You Will Learn:
In this role, you will gain exposure to Transamerica’s Reconciliation team, while interacting with multi-functional groups within finance. You will also have the ability to support different, challenging projects related to reconciliation.
What Success Looks Like:
Reconcile general ledger balances to reconciliation software balances. Research and resolve all variances.
Complete requests for items requiring resolution by the Cashiers or processing groups. Monitor items to ensure timely completion.
Research outstanding discrepancies through ad hoc queries. Prepare appropriate correcting entries.
Analyze discrepancies to determine cause while initiating corrective action to prevent future occurrences.
Certify reconciliation completeness. Comply with service standards to meet quality indicators for aging.
Generate monthly reports for SOX reporting.
What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
Up to 2 years of experience, with degree.
Working knowledge of accounting area preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, customer service approach.
Detail-oriented, accurate; work effectively individually and within a team, organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong knowledge of EXCEL
