FAA “local expert” and contact for TSS GMA Aerospace Hub Americas
TSS NA contact and coordinator for FAA required inspections and audits
Develop TSS GMA FAA compliance programs for manufacturing and organization
FAA DMIR for local manufacturing facility
Development of group wide FAA compliance and authorization program (ODA) for TSS with the intention of integration into the organization
Support TSS locations with assistance to build an FAA compliant system and authorization approval
Process regulatory information requests from internal and external sources
Correspond with processing counterparts in federal governmental agencies
Correspond with project teams to convey compliance requirements and compliance review status
Provide administrative support for internal regulatory audit projects
Assist and perform oversight with all Government Regulatory Agencies within the Central Division performing inspections and audits
Manage, coordinate and develop responses to FAA Correspondence
Analyze program data to be used at briefings with management
Interface with regulatory authorities
Assists in developing corrective actions for aircraft maintenance quality and regulatory compliance
Collect, analyze and distribute compliance and quality performance data
Builds relationships and coordinates cross-functionally at all TSS operations locations
Serves as consultant or advocate on specialized compliance and other programs or projects
Develops, encourages, and insists upon a culture of safety, compliance, and client satisfaction
Create Work Instructions and co-ordinate training
Lead activities in Customer Issue Resolution
Participate in CAR / SCAR management if necessary
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required. Technical discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant role, working with FAA regulations, applicable CFRs and manufacturing guidelines pertaining to aircraft maintenance, repair and engineering
DMIR certification through the FAA preferred (if this certification is not held currently by candidate it will be required to fulfill role)
FAA delegation experience preferred
Experience with aviation quality management systems (eg AS9100) and the FAA regulatory system
Read and interpret drawings, GD & T
Project management certification a plus.
Proficient in Quality Engineering, Quality Control and Metrology
Knowledge of ITAR requirements a plus.
Negotiating skills are a perquisite
Excellent communication and organization skills
Problem solving and creativity are desired competencies
