Rosemount™ is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more. Description We have a Cost Accountant position available working in a large global corporation providing accounting support for multiple manufacturing sites. This role will provide accounting, reporting and analysis to support company objectives and improvements for inventory management, product cost/ profitability, manufacturing productivity and overall process efficiency across several factories. Responsibilities Prepare and input accounting journal entries, documentation and financial reporting data to support accurate & timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and corporate financial policies. Prepare account reconciliations and reviews, to ensure proper balance sheet valuation and reporting. Prepare and communicate monthly analysis of manufacturing variances and recommend actions for improvement Partner with site operations to develop and review standards costs & product cost performance Assist with asset audits and internal control reviews, including documentation, to ensure effective financial controls. Support the Annual Physical inventory count and periodic cycle counts. Assist in identifying and driving best in class process improvement strategies for North America sites Support system updates and maintenance. Update process documentation including accounting policies and proceduresAdditional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field Two (2) years of related experience required Preferred Skills High level of integrity and accountability with results-orientation and a strong ability for prioritization Strong technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross functionally and with all levels in the organization Demonstrated project management and time management skills Ability to partner effectively with business leaders, including strong (internal) customer service skills Ability to read, comprehend, and carryout written instructions Ability to effectively work with individuals remotely (through telecommunications) Ability to plan and accomplish goals with minimum supervision Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Manufacturing and Financials) Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
