OverviewnCommunity Resources For Justice is a unique, 140 year old nonprofit organization headquartered in Boston, that provides direct care as well as research/consulting services within the areas of the Mental Health and the Criminal Justice/Public Policy field. Our three divisions, Social Justice Services, Community Strategies, and the Crime and Justice Institute are recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work.nResponsibilitiesnStaff Accountant Functional Responsibilities:nn Function as an effective team member of the fiscal staff.n Respect the confidential nature of information accessed in the performance of the position.n Review, code and enter invoices into the accounts payable system.n Process expense and mileage reports biweekly and create file to be transmitted to payroll and general ledger entry.n Match invoices to checks and stuff and mail checks.n Generate check runs and electronic funds transfers in the absence of the Accounts Payable Supervisor.n Manage and run all of accounts payable when the Accounts Payable Supervisor is on vacation or working on large projects.n Prepare various ad hoc financial reports, analyses and functions as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Director of Fiscal Operations or CFOn Maintain W-9 database and assist with 1099 process at calendar year end.nnQualificationsnn Staff Accountant Qualifications n n Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite Products (i.e. Excel, Word, etcu2026)n Experience of automated accounting software systems.
