Real Estate Accountant Jobs
Real estate accountant jobs are available with real estate investment, real estate construction, or multi-national companies. Duties of a real estate accountant include accounting and analysis of various real estate holdings; reconciling, managing and balancing real estate investment accounts via journal entries, manual and automated accounting information; preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries; posting entries to the general ledger; assisting in preparation of annual budget; calculating tenant expense billing; preparing annual audit work papers; and assisting in the preparation of financial information for statutory, trust and partnership reporting.
A real estate accountant should have a BS in accounting and relevant exposure to real estate aspects. Prior exposure to real estate accounting is beneficial. Familiarity with real estate accounting trends in cases of mergers and acquisitions, tenant, and leasing is essential.
